Two days, dozens of hand-decorated pinhole cameras, and a whole lot of darkroom magic — Maker Faire OC is officially a wrap. Thank you to everyone who stopped by the WealthyKids.org and Tony’s Photography booth, built a camera, and asked great questions about light, exposure, and time.
Alongside the cameras, we repped Teens Teach Tech — our mentorship program with Connected Nation, powered by AT&T — and met several families interested in getting their teens involved as trainers this season.
Save the Date: LA Maker Faire 2027
We’re already looking ahead to LA Maker Faire & City of STEM, returning to Exposition Park on April 26, 2027. It’s LA County’s official science festival — free, all-ages, and one of the biggest celebrations of making and STEM in Southern California.
We’re Looking for Volunteers
Want to be part of LA Maker Faire 2027 with us? We’re recruiting volunteers for the booth now. Here’s what’s in it for you:
- Free entry pass to Maker Faire for every volunteer
- Flexible 2-hour volunteer rotations — sign up for one shift or several
- A free pass to enjoy the rest of the expo on your own time
